In 2020, within the lively city of Tyler, Texas, Ollie Kat Design emerged as a passion project for Kameron Montgomery. Balancing the demands of a full-time marketing role in the corporate world, Kameron kick-started this creative venture as a side-hustle – a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and love for design.
A Mother's Inspiration: Named after her daughter, Olivia Kathryn, Ollie Kat Design started as a humble endeavor, initially intended to stay small and grow through referrals. This side gig gained momentum, leading Kameron to make a pivotal decision near the end of 2022. She transitioned Ollie Kat Design from a part-time pursuit to a full-time venture, driven by her maternal need for a more consistent presence in her children's lives and a desire to empower others through versatile business services.
Growing from Passion to Purpose: Today, Ollie Kat Design proudly calls downtown Tyler home and collaborates with freelancers across Texas, creating a diverse and talented team. Kameron, now a business owner, is committed to providing opportunities for remote and flexible part-time employment, aligning with her mission to support fellow moms and champion work-life balance.
A Purposeful Path: Focusing on small to midsize businesses, especially female-owned enterprises in real estate, retail, services, and hospitality, Ollie Kat Design aims to be a catalyst for success. Kameron's commitment to community echoes in every project, creating avenues for businesses of all sizes to thrive.
Roots in Tyler, TX: A devoted wife and mother of four (two step and two bio), Kameron's roots run deep in Tyler, where she currently resides. With almost a decade of experience in marketing roles at Brookshire Grocery Company and Cooperative Teachers Credit Union, her journey from a corporate employee to a business owner defines her dynamic skill set.
Throughout her transformative journey, Kameron has shifted from the corporate realm, wearing various marketing hats – from product marketing and campaign management to social media oversight, event planning, graphic design, and beyond. Her expertise now extends to crafting impactful brand strategies, marking her evolution into a business owner.
